I just finished making this. I never noticed before that it says UNpeeled oranges - I always peel them. However, tonight I did 4x this recipe so I left one of the oranges unpeeled. It did make the color a little nicer with the bits of orange peel and it still tastes great.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you mentioned this about the peeled orange. I always peel the orange. Did Mom peel it too?
ReplyDeleteI wish I was with some family for Thanksgiving this year. It feels a little lonely.
The reason my mom took the peels off: One bitter orange RUINS the batch. So, she just increased the the amount of orange and voilla, no bitter orange!
