Fresh Cranberry Orange Relish

1 (12-ounce) package Ocean Spray® Fresh or Frozen Cranberries, rinsed and drained
1 unpeeled orange, cut into eighths and seeded
3/4 to 1 cup granulated sugar

Place half the cranberries and half the orange slices in food processor container. Process until mixture is evenly chopped. Transfer to a bowl. Repeat with remaining cranberries and orange slices. Stir in sugar. Store in refrigerator or freezer.

Makes about 3 cups.

NOTE: May also be prepared in a food grinder.

  1. I just finished making this. I never noticed before that it says UNpeeled oranges - I always peel them. However, tonight I did 4x this recipe so I left one of the oranges unpeeled. It did make the color a little nicer with the bits of orange peel and it still tastes great.

  2. I'm glad that you mentioned this about the peeled orange. I always peel the orange. Did Mom peel it too?

I wish I was with some family for Thanksgiving this year. It feels a little lonely.

  3. The reason my mom took the peels off: One bitter orange RUINS the batch. So, she just increased the the amount of orange and voilla, no bitter orange!
